The Platinum Package offers in-depth molecular analysis that enables the development of highly precise and individual therapy options. Using the latest technologies such as NGS and IHC, a comprehensive picture of the genetic changes is created. In addition, in-vitro tests are carried out to determine the response to various treatments. This allows therapies to be tailored specifically and effectively to achieve optimal results.
1. Molecular profiles and genetic tests
NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) :
- BRCA1/BRCA2 : Mutations in these genes are relevant for the use of olaparib and talazoparib. The test identifies whether PARP inhibitors can be used specifically.
- PIK3CA : Mutations in the PIK3CA gene are relevant for the use of alpelisib. The NGS test determines PIK3CA mutations that enable targeted therapy.
- TP53 : The test is used to assess the aggressiveness of the tumor and to evaluate possible therapeutic approaches.
- TMB (tumor mutation burden) : A high tumor mutation burden can affect the suitability for immunotherapies such as pembrolizumab. The test is used to determine whether the tumor responds to immunotherapy.
FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) :
- HER2 (ERBB2) : HER2 overexpression is determined by FISH to enable targeted therapies such as trastuzumab, pertuzumab, lapatinib and neratinib. This test is crucial for the choice of HER2 therapy.
IHC (immunohistochemistry) :
- ESR1 (estrogen receptor status) : Estrogen receptor status determines suitability for hormone therapies such as tamoxifen, letrozole, anastrozole and exemestane. The selection of the best hormone therapy depends on receptor expression, hormone receptor status and the patient's medical history.
- PD-L1 : PD-L1 expression is used to determine suitability for immunotherapies such as pembrolizumab. High PD-L1 levels indicate that the tumor may respond to immunotherapies.
2. Radiotherapy :
- Testing the radiation dose to achieve optimal efficacy with the least possible damage to the surrounding tissue. The tumor cells are irradiated in gradual dose levels and the cell survival rate is determined using the clonogenic assay to quantify the degree of DNA damage and the impact on cell survival .
3. Drugs that can be tested in vitro
- In vitro testable drugs are tested directly on the patient's tumor cells to determine their effectiveness. These tests help identify the best drugs for treatment.
Chemotherapy :
- Paclitaxel, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, carboplatin : These drugs are tested on tumor cells to determine their effectiveness and enable individually tailored chemotherapy.
Targeted therapy :
- Trastuzumab, Pertuzumab, Olaparib, Alpelisib : These targeted therapies are tested in vitro to find out whether the patient's tumor cells respond to these drugs.
4. Molecular tests for systemic drugs not testable in vitro :
- Tamoxifen : Hormone therapy for estrogen receptor-positive tumors. Estrogen receptor status is determined by IHC .
- Letrozole, anastrozole, exemestane : aromatase inhibitors for estrogen receptor-positive tumors. Estrogen receptor status is determined by IHC to select the most appropriate therapy.
- Pembrolizumab : Immunotherapy for PD-L1-positive tumors. PD-L1 status is determined by IHC and TMB is determined by NGS to determine eligibility for immunotherapy.
- Bevacizumab (off-label) : An angiogenesis inhibitor that can be used off-label when approved options are not effective. In vitro, angiogenesis inhibition is tested using the Endothelial Cell Tube Formation Assay . This tests whether bevacizumab inhibits the formation of new blood vessels in vitro.
Sample requirements for transport and laboratory:
- The sample amount should be at least 50 mg of tumor tissue .
- The sample must be transported at a temperature of 2–8°C to ensure cell integrity.
- Samples should arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours of collection to ensure optimal testing.
Procedure
Immediately after ordering, you will receive detailed instructions from us by email and a few days later by post, so that you can discuss them with your doctor or treating hospital. We are happy to support you with this. Feel safe and supported every step of the way!
If enough cancer cells have already been taken, the analysis can begin immediately. If additional samples are required, your doctor will discuss this with you. This will create the best conditions for an accurate analysis!
Our medical scientists and experienced pathologists precisely analyze and test your cancer cells. Depending on the package, you will receive the well-founded and decisive results for targeted cancer therapy within 1 to 3 weeks!
We have no influence on companies with whom we do not have a partnership. Therefore, we cannot influence the cost of additional cancer cell sampling, nor the speed, expertise or implementation of these measures. For this reason, we rely on your active cooperation or the support of a close person to ensure that the processes at your doctor's office run smoothly until the samples are collected.
Money-back guarantee
Your satisfaction and well-being are our top priority. If it is not possible to carry out a tissue sample for medical or organizational reasons, or if you find that you need a different package, we offer you a money-back guarantee and the option to change your package easily.
Conditions for refund:
- Full reimbursement will be made if tissue sampling cannot be performed for medical reasons.
- If the collection is not possible for organizational reasons on our part, you will also receive a full refund.
- The refund applies to all costs directly related to the tissue collection and related services in the selected package.
Package change option:
- If, after booking, you find that another package is a better fit for your diagnosis or situation – for example, if you have a very similar type of cancer – you can easily change your chosen package.
- The difference will either be refunded or paid later, depending on the price difference between the packages.
- A package change can be made at any time before the start of tests or treatments.
Refund and package change process:
- If you would like a refund or package exchange, please contact our customer service team.
- After reviewing your request, the refund or exchange will be processed within 14 working days.
- The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the original payment. If you change packages, the new price will be adjusted accordingly.
We want to make sure that you get exactly the services you need. That's why we offer you complete flexibility and security when choosing our packages. Your health and satisfaction are our top priority.
Medical note
If the progression of the cancer and urgent medical advice indicate that immediate treatment is necessary, we recommend that you start therapy. Once our results are available, treatment can be adjusted accordingly.
Maximum expansion
In addition to this package of genetic analyses and in vitro tests for approved drugs, we can also analyze other genes or test additional drugs that are of interest for the specific case, upon agreement.
Advanced genetic analyses:
Upon request and after consultation, we can specifically include additional genes or genetic markers in the analysis in order to obtain a more comprehensive molecular picture of the tumor. This enables even more precise adaptation of the treatment options to the individual genetic characteristics of the tumor.
Additional drug tests:
If there are specific cancer drugs of interest that are not part of this package, we can, by agreement, include additional drugs in the in vitro testing. This offers the opportunity to test alternative or complementary therapies that may be specifically relevant for the patient.
To use:
- Maximum individualization of treatment through targeted expansion of genetic analysis.
- Additional treatment options through testing of other approved medications.
- Greater flexibility in adapting the treatment plan to complex or rare cancers.
Process:
If you would like additional analyses or drug tests, we will discuss the options with your treating physician. After a careful evaluation, we can integrate the desired genes or drugs into the testing process. This ensures that you receive the most comprehensive and precise information for the treatment decision.
Please contact us if you have any special requests or requirements. Together we will find the best solution to optimally support your treatment.
The offer is aimed at patients with particularly complex cases or rare cancers where additional genetic markers or alternative medications may be of interest.
