IHC (immunohistochemistry) :

ESR1 (estrogen receptor status) : Estrogen receptor status determines suitability for hormone therapies such as tamoxifen, letrozole, anastrozole and exemestane. The selection of the best hormone therapy depends on receptor expression, hormone receptor status and the patient's medical history.

2. Radiotherapy :

3. Drugs that can be tested in vitro

Chemotherapy :

Paclitaxel, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, carboplatin : These drugs are tested on tumor cells to determine their effectiveness and enable individually tailored chemotherapy.

Targeted therapy :

Trastuzumab, Pertuzumab, Olaparib, Alpelisib : These targeted therapies are tested in vitro to find out whether the patient's tumor cells respond to these drugs.

4. Molecular tests for systemic drugs not testable in vitro :

Sample requirements for transport and laboratory:

The sample amount should be at least 50 mg of tumor tissue .
The sample must be transported at a temperature of 2–8°C to ensure cell integrity.
Samples should arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours of collection to ensure optimal testing.
